Amarinder said he will leave for Delhi on Thursday and meet the Congress VP to discuss the matter. The appointment of chief parliamentary secretaries is also expected to be discussed in the meeting likely on July 8.

The CM had last week stated that he was planning to expand his team in the first week of July but could not confer with Rahul who was abroad.

Amarinder had taken oath as the chief minister on March 16 along with nine ministers. There are eight more berths left to be filled. And the Congress MLAs, especially Young Turks, have been eagerly waiting for the cabinet expansion.
