An official spokesman said on Saturday that all store purchases valued above Rs 30 lakh of the departments would be decided by the high-powered purchase committee while it would also decide all purchase cases valued above Rs 50 lakh processed by boards, corporations and federations.

He said in case of power utilities, purchases valued above Rs 10 crore and turnkey projects valued above Rs 50 crore would be decided by this committee besides deciding all cases of rate contracts.

The spokesman added that other members of this committee were minister of social justice and empowerment, women and child development and welfare of scheduled castes and backward classes departments, Kavita Jain, minister of state for food and supplies, transport, tourism and hospitality departments Karan Dev Kamboj, minister in-charge and administrative secretary of the indenting department concerned, principal secretary (finance), principal secretary (industries), head of the indenting department concerned, and director, supplies and disposals.
