The CM has already instructed director, tourism and cultural affairs Shivdular Singh Dhillon to ensure proper upkeep and maintenance of all cultural heritage projects in the state.

Chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Friday announced 42 crore as a dedicated fund for preservation of the state’s cultural heritage.

The fund would be used for the upkeep and maintenance of various cultural projects across the state, an official spokesman said.

The government was fully committed to conserve the legacy of the state through various cultural heritage projects and memorials, which would go a long way in sensitizing the younger generations about the state’s rich heritage, he said.

The CM has already instructed director, tourism and cultural affairs Shivdular Singh Dhillon to ensure proper upkeep and maintenance of all cultural heritage projects in the state especially the Maharaja Duleep Singh Memorial in Ludhiana district.
