Car falls into Abohar canal; couple killed
A couple was drowned early sunday when its car fell into a minor canal in Abohar subdivision of Fazilka district.The couple, Sohan Singh of 48F village in Karanpur jurisdiction of Rajasthan, and his wife, Paramjit Kaur, had come to Punjab on Saturday to meet relatives at Dharangwala village near Abohar.

A couple was drowned early Sunday when its car fell into a minor canal in Abohar subdivision of Fazilka district.
The couple, Sohan Singh of 48F village in Karanpur jurisdiction of Rajasthan, and his wife, Paramjit Kaur, had come to Punjab on Saturday to meet relatives at Dharangwala village near Abohar.
On Sunday morning, after the car failed to reach its next destination, Molianwali village in Fazilka district, it was spotted in the Bazitpur minor canal, with the dead couple inside. Autopsy was performed.
