Mohinder Pal, a resident of Guru Amar Dass Colony, was on his way home from a friend’s place, when he alighted outside the PAP complex for a personal exigency. That is when two youth accosted him and engaged him in a conversation, while one of them held out an iron rod to hit him. When Pal managed to save himself, a third accused confronted him and opened fire in the air. Frightened, he fell on the roadside and the three accused drove away the car. SHO Navi Baradari Police Station Balbir Singh said that a case under sections 392 (robbery), 336 (endangering life or personal safety of others), 506 (Criminal intimidation) of the IPC, and Section 25 of Arms Act has been registered against unidentified robbers.

PAP is supposed to be a highly guarded complex and cops can be seen outside the gates of the complex even in the wee hours.
