Cash, gold jewellery stolen from hosiery owner’s house

Burglars struck at the house of a hosiery factory owner in Chandar Nagar on late Monday night and decamped with `5 lakh in cash and gold jewellery.

Burglars struck at the house of a hosiery factory owner in Chandar Nagar on late Monday night and decamped with rs 5 lakh in cash and gold jewellery.

House owner Rakesh Jain said he and his family were away to attend a marriage function at 9pm. When they returned at 12:30am, he was shocked to see the locks of the house was broken and the house ransacked, following which he informed the police.

He claimed that the burglars stole rs 5 lakh in cash and 400gm gold jewellery worth Rs 11.60 lakh from the house.

A case has been registered.
