Country needs nationalists like Naveen: Raveena Tandon

Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon on Monday accompanied sitting MP and Congress candidate from Kurukshetra Naveen Jindal during a road show in Radaur, Shahabad and Thanesar. While making an appeal to public for supporting and voting for Naveen Jindal, Raveena said the country was in a dire need of nationalists like Naveen Jindal.

While making an appeal to public for supporting and voting for Naveen Jindal, Raveena said the country was in a dire need of nationalists like Naveen Jindal. “Among all the candidates, only Naveen is capable of bringing more development and prosperity to the area,” she said. She added that Naveen was like a brother to her and she was moved by the development and social work done by him which prompted her come from Mumbai to campaign for him.

Addressing the public throughout the road show, Naveen claimed that unlike other candidates, who are making false claims and promises, he was asking people to vote for him on the basis of development. He said that Kurukshetra had witnessed unprecedented development in the last 10 years —more than the cumulative development in the past.

Naveen’s wife Shallu also addressed people. She said that it was Naveen who got people of India the right to fly the Tricolour, was the first voice inside the Parliament to raise the need to formulate and implement food security and also to include Haryanavi language in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution.

She said that he rhusband had kept his constituency and constituents ahead of his family and his business. She also thanked the people of Kurukshetra for supporting Naveen in the last 10 years.

The road show began at Radaur in the morning, reached Shahabad in the afternoon and ended in Thanesar in the evening.
