Father, son to face off
A father and son duo are contesting elections against each other for the panch's post at Hussainiwala village in this district. Salak Ram, 52, filed a nomination to contest polls to become member panchayat of the village from ward number 5 while later his son Raj Kumar also came in the fray.

A father and son duo are contesting elections against each other for the panch's post at Hussainiwala village in this district.
Salak Ram, 52, filed a nomination to contest polls to become member panchayat of the village from ward number 5 while later his son Raj Kumar also came in the fray.
Both have been appealing to the electorate to vote for them so that they might bring development in the village.
"It's sad that political aspiration has raised a wall within a family; either should have withdrawn their candidature," said Jaswant Singh of the village.
