Four killed in car-truck collision near Rahon

Four persons were killed on the spot and two others sustained serious injuries when a car they were travelling in collided with a truck near Rahon at around 6.30am today.

As per reports, six persons, all residents of Phagwara, were coming in a Maruti car (PB32-36A-9800) from Khanna after completing a videography assignment at a wedding when their car collided with a tipper truck moving from Rahon to Macchiwara.

The deceased have been identified as Sunny (28), Gurpal (29), Vinod Kumar (40) and Rahul (28). Two others, who sustained injuries and were admitted to private hospitals in Rahon and Nawanshahr, are Mohit (18) and Vakeel Ram (40).

Vinod Kumar was into the photography business and ran a studio, Milan Studio, in Phagwara. The remaining five occupants of the car worked for him.
