Gurdas Maan selected icon for 2017 Punjab assembly elections
The Election Commission of India on Wednesday selected famous Punjabi singer and actor Gurdas Maan as the state icon for the 2017 assembly polls.

The Election Commission of India on Wednesday selected famous Punjabi singer and actor Gurdas Maan as the state icon for the 2017 assembly polls.

According to an official spokesperson, Maan’s main role will be to motivate the youth of Punjab to get enrolled in voters list and do ethical voting .

He will advise youth to vote without getting influenced by any undue inducement or intimidation.
