A health department team issued challans to 20 persons who were caught smoking in public places or selling banned gutkha products on Monday.

A health department team issued challans to 20 persons who were caught smoking in public places or selling banned gutkha products on Monday.
The team comprising of drug inspector Sukhvir Chand, food safety officer Harpreet Kaur along with police team raided public places near some of the city hospitals and court complex.
Harpreet Kaur said that they had issued challans to seven persons for smoking at public places. She added that a person could not smoke at any public place.
A total of 14 persons were fined for smoking at public places while six persons were challaned for selling banned gutka products.
