Aggarwal, who is the owner of National Kidney Hospital, Jalandhar, had argued in the petition last year that police had no jurisdiction to either investigate or arrest any person for alleged commission of offences under the Transplantation of Human Organs (TOHO) Act, 1994. The Jalandhar police had registered a case under the TOHO Act, 1994, and various other sections of the IPC on July 30, 2015.
