The palaces are Aashiana Complex at Beas village, Ajit Palace at Deep Nagar, RP Farms at Pholriwal and Utsav Palace at Kangniwal village.

JDA Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), Vasdev Singh, said, “Enough time was given to all palaces to apply for registration, but these four palaces failed to follow orders.”

“Owners of all the four marriage palaces have admitted that they are not interested in running their businesses,” added the SDO.

Housing and development secretary Venu Prasad issued closure notices to palaces, who had not applied for registration, asking them to shut their premises owing to the lack of interest shown by them for compliance as per the new policy. However, with the owners refusing to shut the palaces on their own, sealing orders had to be passed.
