Kidnappers of Diya remanded in police custody
The kidnappers of four-year old child Diya were remanded in three-day police custody by a local court on Sunday. Accused Satveer Singh and his wife Meghna were produced in the court of civil judge (junior division) Aradhana who sent them into police custody till March 5.

The kidnappers of four-year old child Diya were remanded in three-day police custody by a local court on Sunday.
Accused Satveer Singh and his wife Meghna were produced in the court of civil judge (junior division) Aradhana who sent them into police custody till March 5.
The accused couple, residents of Deep Nagar, allegedly wanted to become rich overnight which prompted them to kidnap Diya. They had reportedly demanded a ransom of `1 crore from the family of Diya.
They kidnapped Diya on February 24 and on the next day, she was found packed in a plastic gunny bag left in an empty plot. The duo was arrested by the Basti Bawa Khel police on February 25 with the help of the mobile technology.
