Light rain in Chandigarh today, heavy spell to follow

Officials said, “Sunday will see light rain but will increase Monday onwards.” However, the officials said the rain will not be over 64.5mm on any given day.
The maximum temperature on Saturday increased from Friday’s 31.3°C to 33.2°C and the minimum temperature fell from 27.4°C to 25.6°C due to the showers on Friday. The humidity stayed between 78% and 92%.
The IMD officials have said the maximum temperature over the next three days will stay between 33°C and 34°C while the minimum temperature will remain between 25°C and 26°C.
With 87.0 mm of rainfall recorded between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm at the Chandigarh airport, the tricity on Friday received the most rainfall in the region.
This comfortably fell under the category of heavy rain (over 64.5mm of rain), this was also the year’s highest rainfall, blowing past the previous record of 69.6mm of rainfall recorded on August 13.
