Local boy invited for Republic Day parade

Local lad Ritish Goyal, who is among national toppers in Class-12 CBSE examinations in 2012, has been invited to watch the Republic Day parade from Prime Minister's box at Rajpath in New Delhi on January 26. Goyal is one of the meritorious students from all over India to receive this invitation from the union ministry of human resource and development.

Goyal is one of the meritorious students from all over India to receive this invitation from the union ministry of human resource and development. Ritish is currently studying at IIT, Mumbai and wants to become an engineer.

Goyal has scored 98.6% marks in Class-12 CBSE exam and bagged second position in north India. However, in JEE (main), he has scored 331 marks out of 360 and got second all India rank. In JEE-IIT, he has scored 59th all India rank.

Talking to Hindustan Times, Anil Kumar Goyal, father of Ritish Goyal, said: "We have received the invitation from the ministry of human resource and development recently and according to the letter, the ministry will make our boarding and lodging arrangements from January 25 to January 28."

"I am proud of my son and this is a very special feeling that he is being invited to witness the parade."
