Talking to Hindustan Times, Dhaliwal said, "Our engineers have prepared the drawings and we have already acquired land in Ludhiana. Due to space constraints and stockpile of books, the management is becoming difficult for the depot staff. So we will shift the depot to the new building by next year.

Today when I checked the depot, I found the textbooks were stocked on the floor at the entrance point. I have directed the book depot manager to stock the textbooks inside the rooms as the books can receive damages due to rainfall."

When asked why the textbooks are lying at the entrance point, the depot manager replied that these were supplementary old textbooks. "We have already supplied all the books to the schools for this session."

The book depot has three rooms. The office is not in a good condition with dampness on walls, and books can be seen strewn on the floor. It doesn't have adequate space to accmmodate the book stock.
