He said Rajesh had worked in Nalina Khurd village and had given Rs 12,000 to Jagtar Singh, who had failed to return his money.

“When Jagtar did not return his money, Rajesh stole his buffalo. Rajesh eventually got arrested and underwent an imprisonment for six months,” said Sandhu.

After his release from jail on October 3, Rajesh had planned to seek revenge and murdered Jagtar while he was asleep in his cattle shed. Rakesh had dumped his body at a deserted place in the village and fled, said the police.

Jagtar's relatives found his body a few yards away from the site of incident next day. The DSP said following a secret information, police had arrested Rakesh from a bus stand in Kharoda village . Police also recovered the weapon used for the murder.
