Man booked for bid to outrage modesty of woman

Amarjit Kaur, wife of Jasvir Singh, a resident of the same village complained to vice chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes and SSP (rural), Jalandhar, that the accused used abusive language and casteist remarks against her on November 11 and threatened her with dire consequences if she did not stop working at the house of one Harbans Kaur.

She threatened to commit suicide if no action is taken against her. SHO Rupinder Singh said that a case has been registered against the accused.
