Man booked for cheating
Police have booked a Jalandhar resident for allegedly cheating a man in the name of sending him abroad. Based on a complaint by Gurmeet Singh, a resident of Paras Ram Nagar here, a case under Section 420 of the IPC has been registered against Yuvraj Singh, a resident of Kapurthala Chowk in Jalandhar.

Police have booked a Jalandhar resident for allegedly cheating a man in the name of sending him abroad. Based on a complaint by Gurmeet Singh, a resident of Paras Ram Nagar here, a case under Section 420 of the IPC has been registered against Yuvraj Singh, a resident of Kapurthala Chowk in Jalandhar.
The complainant alleged that the accused had taken Rs 5 lakh Indian currency and 1,000 US dollars for sending him abroad but did not keep his promise.
