Man booked for raping Delhi woman

A city resident was booked for raping a 21-year-old Delhi woman after promising her marriage. The accused have been identified as Vikram Goraya of Partap Singh Wala and he was booked under sections 366 and 376 of the Indian penal code.

The accused have been identified as Vikram Goraya of Partap Singh Wala and he was booked under sections 366 and 376 of the Indian penal code.

In her complaint, the victim stated that she was met the accused through one of their common friends in Delhi. The accused told her that he would find a suitable job for her in Ludhiana and brought her to the city.

The victim further alleged that the accused established physical relations with her and when she resisted the accused said that he would marry her.

Later, the accused refused to marry the woman.

Assistant sub-inspector Gurmohan Singh said the police have launched a manhunt to arrest the accused.
