Man dies after fan falls on him outside temple

A 21-year-old student of local Sanskrit college was killed, when a pedestal fan fell on him outside a temple where he had gone to partake 'langar'. The exact cause of the death, however, could be acsertained.

A 21-year-old student of local Sanskrit college was killed, when a pedestal fan fell on him outside a temple where he had gone to partake 'langar'. The exact cause of the death, however, could be acsertained.

Sandip Kumar, a native of Bagli in Himachal Pardesh, was a final year student and was staying in his college hostel in Bahadurpur.

On Saturday he, and some other students, were invited to take 'Brahma Bhoj' at the annual celebrations of the temple across the Bhangi choe, which were largely attended by BJP leaders. As per her fellow st, he was first sitting far from the fan but then he got up and sat close to it but the fan fell on him. Sandip reportedly shivered for a few moments and then collapsed.

He was rushed to a private hospital where he was declared brought dead. In the evening, on the insistence of deceased's family, the body was taken to the civil hospital for a post-mortem by the Sadar police.
