Mann asks Thai govt to not extradite Tara
Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) president Simranjit Singh Mann has appealed to the Thailand government to not hand over Jagtar Singh Tara, co-accused in the assassination of Punjab chief minister Beant Singh in 1995, to India.

Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) president Simranjit Singh Mann has appealed to the Thailand government to not hand over Jagtar Singh Tara, co-accused in the assassination of Punjab chief minister Beant Singh in 1995, to India.
Addressing the media at Circuit House here on Saturday, he said he had written to the Thailand ambassador that the Indian government could implicate Tara in fake cases and even kill him, and that it was a ploy to brand Sikhs as terrorists.
