Medical practitioner booked for raping woman in clinic

The district police have registered a criminal case against a medical practitioner for allegedly raping a married woman and making a video clip of the act at Bilaspur village under Nihal Singh Wala subdivision, 43 km from here on Friday.

The police said that the woman had gone to the clinic for taking treatment when Dr Jagsir Singh Bhatti committed the crime. Karamjeet Kaur, assistant sub-inspector of Badhni Kalan police station, said the victim was taken to the Dr Mathura Dass civil hospital, where a special team of doctors conducted medical examination on her.

Sukhdev Singh, in-charge of Bilaspur police post, said that after a preliminary inquiry, a case has been registered against Dr Bhatti.
