Nanded Express to be flagged off on October 3: Bansal

Speaking at the function organised by the Confederation of Keralite Organisations in the tricity, Bansal said the Chandigarh Kochuveli Express, which is a weekly train, would soon become biweekly as announced in the rail budget.

He said the new trains to religious places would start running from October. The Nanded Express from Nangal Dam- Anandpur Sahib-Chandigarh-Hazur Sahib would be flagged off on October 3 from Chandigarh at 7 pm, while the Kalka-Chandigarh-Shirdi Express would be flagged off on October 6 at 7.40 pm.

The Nanded Express will run once a week and its departure to Chandigarh will be on every Saturday, while the Kalka-Chandigarh-Shirdi Express will be a biweekly train which will depart for Chandigarh every Tuesday and Saturday.

The MP also complimented the people of Kerala for being ahead in the country as far as literacy was concerned, adding that those settled here played a major role in enriching the variety of Indian culture in Chandigarh.
