Neighbour charged with raping minor girl

A girl, 14, charged her neighbour in Dehlon area of the city with rape on Friday.After the girl's medical examination, police registered a case against the accused, Dharminder Singh of Dhode village near Dehlon, on the complaint of the victim's mother.

The girl's parents had gone to Chappar village near Dehlon for some work and their daughter was home alone. When the couple returned back home, the mother found her girl crying in pain, and came to know what had happened.

The accused fled from the spot after allegedly raping the minor. The case against him was registered at Dehlon under the laws dealing with rape and protecting children from sexual offences.
