New VC of Baba Farid university takes charge
Dr Raj Bahadur, a senior doctor from PGI, Chandigarh, on Friday, took over the charge of Baba Farid university of health sciences (BFUHS) here as its new vice-chancellor from Dr SS Gill, who retired from the post about two months ago.

Dr Raj Bahadur, a senior doctor from PGI, Chandigarh, on Friday, took over the charge of Baba Farid university of health sciences (BFUHS) here as its new vice-chancellor from Dr SS Gill, who retired from the post about two months ago.
The staff of the university also organised a party to bid adieu to Dr Gill and welcome Dr Raj Bahadur.
The new vice-chancellor said that his priory would be to make operational the newly built cancer hospital in Bathinda and also start research work in cancer hospitals in Bathinda and Faridkot to explore causes of cancer.
