Pak child held, freed on humanitarian grounds

Border police officials said the child had no idea that he entered the Indian side. He is son of Mustaq of Nagaja village in Pakistan's Narowal district. "We caught Kashim at 10.30am and found nothing objectionable on him," said RPS Jaspal, deputy inspector general and senior public relations officer of the BSF.

The BSF contacted the Pakistani border officials the same day and, at 6.15pm on Sunday, handed the boy over to them on humanitarian grounds. This year, the BSF has restored 16 people to Pakistan in similar cases.
