Partial cancellation of Ludhiana-Chandigarh train till Sep 4

Ferozepur-Chandigarh intercity train will be partially cancelled between Ludhiana to Chandigarh station and vice versa from August 10 to September 4 for 26 days.

Ferozepur-Chandigarh intercity train will be partially cancelled between Ludhiana to Chandigarh station and vice versa from August 10 to September 4 for 26 days.

As per the information provided by Ferozepur Division, this partial cancellation is due to construction of washable apron for length of 300 meters at Chandigarh Railway station.

Besides this Ludhiana-Chandigarh holiday special train will also be partially cancelled between Mohali station to Chandigarh station from August 10 to September 4. For this time train will run between Ludhiana to SAS Nagar (Mohali) and vice versa.

Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Ferozepur Division Anuj Prakash said these trains are cancelled partially for the particular time, so that construction of the washable apron can be done easily.

These trains will be restored on the route after September 4, as per the previous schedule, he added.

It is pertinent to mention that a washable apron is an important passenger amenity at the railway stations as it enables easy washing of the platform lines and thereby goes a long way in ensuring maintenance of cleanliness at the stations.
