The Punjab government has recently taken a decision to bear the cost of all arrangements to fly him home.
Meeting Yannick’s father Nestor Nitbateganya, Gandhi extended him all support and assured him that he would not face any problem during the process of flying Yannick back to his country.
Nitbateganya had written to chief minister Parkash Singh Badal to help him take his son back home.
The police have arrested all nine accused involved in physical and brutal assault on Yannick, a BSc computer student of a private university. Yannick might be flown directly from Patiala airbase in the coming week.
