Plastic found in food on Kalka-Delhi Shatabdi

A Delhi resident Vinod Chadha, (57), a retired government school headmaster, filed a complaint against the caterer on the Kalka-Delhi Shatabdi on Monday after she found a ‘big piece of plastic in her chappati’ during her travel in the executive class.

A Delhi resident Vinod Chadha, (57), a retired government school headmaster, filed a complaint against the caterer on the Kalka-Delhi Shatabdi on Monday after she found a ‘big piece of plastic in her chappati’ during her travel in the executive class.

“I immediately called the staff member who served the food. He suggested taking another packet, but I refused. The manager for the compartment also suggested the same. I again refused,” Vinod said, adding that

she asked for a complaint register and formally lodged her grievance.

“They provided me with a form. I complained about the poor food,” she said, adding that she had been charged Rs 1,250 for the ticket.

She also tweeted about the incident and tagged railway minister Suresh Prabhu, Ambala divisional railway manager and Northern Railway general manager.

Ambala divisional railway manager couldn’t be contacted for comments.
