Polyclinic inaugurated in Ambala

Member of legislative assembly (MLA) Venod Sharma, inaugurated a Rs 5.7-crore polyclinic in HUDA, Sector 10, at a function on Monday. The polyclinic has come up on a 1.98-acre of land. The clinic will be run by the state health department. The MLA said the clinic would fulfil people's demand and would provide specialised medical services to them.

The polyclinic has come up on a 1.98-acre of land. The clinic will be run by the state health department. The MLA said the clinic would fulfil people's demand and would provide specialised medical services to them.

Sharma urged the people to campaign against female foeticide adding that the government was running innovative 'Laadli' scheme for girl children.

Sharma added that another polyclinic would soon come up in the city.

Deputy commissioner K Makrand Pandurang informed that the facilities for X-ray, pathological laboratory and delivery room would be available and three medical officers have been posted for the treatment of common diseases.

"Other paramedical staff have also been posted at the clinic. Ayurvadic and homeopathic treatments will also be available,"he said.
