In a complaint to commissioner of police Ishwar Chander, the party's state spokesperson Navjot Dahia said that the remarks had hurt the sentiments of millions of countrymen who consider both their national heroes.
"We worship both the heroes as martyrs of the country. Bhagat Singh has been awarded the title of Shaheed-e-Azam and her mother has s also been honoured as Raj Mata by the government of Punjab," Dahia submitted.

Rajinder Singh Johal, Jaswinder Billa, Jagdish Jassal and Raj Kumar Raju were among the prominent persons present on the occasion.
