Both Shriya and Dolly are players of sqay martial art. Dolly bagged the silver medal while Shriya got the bronze in the state-level competition of sqay martial art organised by PSEB this year.

“I still can’t believe that I topped the sports quota. I just expected good marks in the examination,” Shriya said.

Her father Naresh Kumar is a small cloth merchant and her mother Sulekha Mahajan, a homemaker.

Shriya wants to become a college lecturer.

Dolly, whose father Rakesh Kumar is dealer in pulses and mother a teacher, wants to become a doctor.

Shriya and Dolly said they never took any tuition and entirely depended on the studies done in the school.

School principal Ritu Mahajan said, “My school is a temple of God for me and my students are my sons and daughters.”
