PSPCL to buy 1,400-MW power in July

Anticipating a weak and delayed monsoon, the PSPCL has decided to buy 1,400-MW power in July under the short power purchase agreement. “The demand for power will increase in July and the PSPCL is committed to eight-hour power supply to the far ming sector for the paddy season. Thus, anticipating a weak and delayed monsoon, we are making arrangements to purchase the power in advance to provide a better power supply to consumers,” said power officials.
