Students studying in colleges affiliated with Punjab Technical University are in a fix, as the university has still not declared the revaluation results.
While students can fill the revaluation form till April 12; students are upset as the varsity has not declared the revaluation result leaving them clueless whether to fill the form for the next session and pay the fees or wait for the result.
One of the student requesting anonymity said, “I have applied for revaluation in two subjects and have paid Rs 1,500. The university has not declared the revaluation result and has declared April 12 as the last date to fill the forms. I am in a fix. If I clear the revaluation but fill the form my money goes waste and if I am unable to clear the exam after revaluation, I will miss the chance of revaluation. The university must declare the result so that students can decide.”
Another student said, “The university must declare the revaluation result only then the students will be able to know whether they have cleared the exam or not. Moreover, for revaluation of one subject a student has to pay Rs 750 and I have applied for revaluation in three subjects so I have pay Rs 2,250 to the university and I am clueless.”
The university has updated a proposed date sheet on their website and a lot of papers are clashing with that of different semesters.
Co-coordinator GGNIMT Prof Gunwant Singh Dua, said, “We have pointed out discrepancies in the date sheet and have sent a letter to the varsity on April 2.”
Paramjit Singh, deputy controller examination, PTU, said, “We will be declaring the revaluation result till April 10. We have updated the proposed date sheet on our website and we have received feedback from the colleges and the new date sheet will be updated on the website on April 6.”
Proposed date sheet clashes with exams
It is pertinent to mention that the university has updated a proposed date sheet on their website and a lot of papers of different semesters are clashing. There is a clash between three papers: BB303-cost and management accounting of third semester, BB602-entrepreneurship of sixth semester both the exams are in the morning shift on May 3. The re-appear exam 505 management in service marketing is on the same day in the evening shift.
Another clash in exams: BB603-service marketing of sixth semester and BB304-business statistics is in the morning shift on May 6. All this has left the students disappointed, as any student who has to sit for the compartment exam in any subject he/she has to appear in the regular exam and the compartment exam on the same day.
