Punjab govt transfers 1 PCS, 7 IAS officers

The Punjab government on Thursday transferred seven Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and one PCS officer with immediate effect.

An official spokesman said that Rakesh Kumar Verma has been posted as secretary, industries and commerce, and in addition as secretary, information technology whereas Sumer Singh Gurjar has been posted as commissioner, Faridkot division, and in addition as secretary, Punjab State Commission for Protection of Child Rights.

Sirra Karuna Raju will now be secretary, revenue and rehabilitation, whereas Rahul Tewari has been posted as secretary, home affairs, justice and jails. Daljit Singh Mangat will now be special secretary, planning.

In a partial modification of orders, Satish Chandra has been posted as additional chief secretary, local government and in addition as principal resident commissioner, Punjab Bhawan, New Delhi. MP Singh has been posted as additional chief secretary-cum-financial commissioner, development.

PCS officer Raman Kumar Kochhar, would be assistant commissioner (general), Gurdaspur.
