Punjab, Haryana announce winter vacation for schools
Schools in Punjab are to reopen from January 2, 2018 and in Haryana the schools will reopen from January 9.

The governments of Punjab and Haryana on Friday announced winter vacations in their respective states.
In Punjab, all the government, private and government aided schools would remain closed from December 24, 2017 to January 1, 2018.
Disclosing this on Friday, Punjab education minister Aruna Chaudhary said that the schools are to reopen from January 2, 2018.
The Haryana government also ordered that all the government, government aided and private schools in the state would remain closed from December 25, 2017 to January 8, 2018 on account of winter vacations.
An official spokesman said that all the schools in the state were directed to ensure compliance of these orders.
