Mustafa, two other Punjab IPS officers promoted to DGP rank

The Punjab government on Tuesday promotes seven IPS officers with immediate effect.

The Punjab government on Tuesday promoted three police officers of the rank of additional director general of police (ADGP) to the rank of director general of police (DGP).

Those promoted to the rank of DGP are 1985-batch IPS officers Mohammad Mustafa, Ravinder Paul Singh and Hardip Singh Dhillon. They have been promoted in the rank of the DGP in the payscale of Rs 75,500-80,000.

Four officers on the rank of inspector general of police were promoted to the rank of ADGP. They are 1991 batch IPS officers Barjinder Kumar Uppal, BK Garg, Ishwar Chander and Balbir Kumar Bawa, in the payscale of Rs 67,000-79,000.
