Congress parliamentarian Ravneet Bittu accompanied Pinki when he met Badal in Chandigarh.

The MLA highlighted that the poor of this town needed a community centre to hold weddings and functions, for which he has proposed the Red Cross building next to Shaheed Bhagat Singh Stadium.

The octroi charged of the Cantonment Board of Ferozepur (CBF) were harsh, said the MLA. "In the rest of state, it has been abolished," he said.

He also asked for a government college in the city and improvement in the quality of drinking water. He proposed projects to improve the condition of roads, especially in rural areas near the border.
