Residents pledge to cast votes on Raahgiri Day

Deputy commissioner Rajat Agarwal also administered an oath to the voters that they would cast their votes in an honest manner on April 30.
On this occasion, Agarwal also appealed to all voters to observe April 30 as their 'Duty Day' this year by casting their vote.
During the voter awareness campaign, Agarwal said the elections were very important for a democracy and people should take it not less than any festival.
The young voters enthusiastically vowed to use their vote in right way to strengthen the democracy of country. Later, students of Ishmeet Music Academy sang jingles to motivate voters to cast their vote.
Dawinder Singh, a student, said, “I am going to cast my vote first time in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. This is an opportunity to cast my vote to a candidate who will fulfill promises. I have seen that candidates usually forget their promises made to public ahead of elections. Therefore, I would avoid such candidates.”
Meanwhile, children as well as adults participated in lemon race, slow-cycle race, taekwondo and other events as part of Raahgiri Day events.
