Fatehgarh Sahib deputy commissioner Arun Sekhri said Rs 41.3 lakh have been distributed under MANREGA scheme. While presiding over meeting of the district officials, the DC said total 2037 poor and needy families in the district have provided employment for 26,655 days under MANREGA.

While presiding over meeting of the district officials, the DC said total 2037 poor and needy families in the district have provided employment for 26,655 days under MANREGA. He directed the officials to complete development works on time.
The DC said 21 dairy units have been set up in the district in last two months and progressive farmers have been provided loans of Rs 99 lakh from various banks. He said target has fixed to set up 140 dairy units in the district in current financial year and Rs 12 crore loan will be provided. Two cattle sheds have been constructed in the district and total 34 sheds will be constructed in the district this year. Farmers have provided 5 milking machines and fodder harvesting machines to two farmers of the district.
Fatehgarh Sahib Additional Deputy Commissioner(Development) Baljit Singh Sandhu, Assistant Commissioner (General and Greivances) Harjot Kaur, SDMs of various sub divisions of the district also attended the meeting.
