School students learn about working of banks

To impress upon students the importance of banks in life, Bal Bharati Public School conducted an activity ‘Banking Services-Our Help Line’ on Thursday.

Students of Classes 11 and 12 commerce created a mock bank in the school. There were six helpdesks namely ‘may I help you’, ‘bank forms’, ‘cash withdrawal’, ‘educational loan’, ‘cash deposit’ and ‘debit and credit cards’.

An enactment was held where a customer wishing to open a bank account entered the bank. Through her experience in the bank, the students were told about various types of bank accounts. They were also educated on basic procedures which everyone should be aware of like depositing cash, filling of cheques, withdrawing cash, etc. The students were also updated about safe and secure use of ATMs. A small interactive session was held where students were asked various questions related to banks of India.
