Seven arrested for gambling in Batala
The Batala police have arrested seven persons on the charges of gambling and recovered Rs 2,400 and packets of playing cards from them.

The Batala police have arrested seven persons on the charges of gambling and recovered Rs 2,400 and packets of playing cards from them.
Assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Parkash Singh said after getting a tip-off, a police team carried out a raid in an open plot at Prem Nagar near the Police Lines and arrested seven persons while gambling.
The accused were identified as Harish Kumar, Sunny, Somnath, Ashwani Kumar and Ramesh Kumar, all residents of Prem Nagar, Gagandeep Singh, a resident of Gandhi camp and Rahul of Model Town.
