Sewerage pipeline being laid in three localities in Gurdaspur: DC

A 150-foot new sewerage pipeline was being laid at a cost of Rs 3 lakh in Post Office Chowk, Gopal Nagar and Jail Road localities, said deputy commissioner Abhinav Trikha here on Saturday. He said the work on it had already been started and it would be completed by Wednesday.

He said keeping in view the rainy season, three teams of district health department had been pressed into service in these localities to check potable water supply for contamination and save the people from its harmful effects. He said the health department teams had already distributed chlorine tablets among the residents for the treatment of water.
