SGPC forms 9-member panel for rebuilding Gurdwara Gian Godri

He said the committee will establish contact with religious leaders of Haridwar and make all efforts to reconstruct the demolished gurdwara at the earliest.

He said the committee will establish contact with religious leaders of Haridwar and make all efforts to reconstruct the demolished gurdwara at the earliest.

Badungar said the SGPC had sent a delegation to Haridwar to assess the situation and then decided to approach the central government in this regard.

He said a letter has also been sent to the President, Prime Minister, Punjab and Uttarakhand chief ministers.

Apart from Badungar, DSGMC chief Manjit Singh GK, Rajya Sabha member Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, Lok Sabha MP Prem Singh Chandumajra, Uttarakhand Sikh MLA Harbhajan Singh Cheema, SGPC member Rajinder Singh Mehta, Nirmal sect mahant Balwant Singh and Udaaseen Sect Mahant Raghumuni from are part of the committee. SGPC additional secretary Bijay Singh will be coordinator of the committee.
