SGPC sends relief material to Srinagar

The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) on Tuesday dispatched its first instalment of the flood-relief material by air to Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir. Spice Jet will ship the material free of cost, for which SGPC president Avtar Singh Makkar has thanked the airlines and its manager Deepak Anand.

The SGPC will also organise 'langar' (community kitchens) in Srinagar and other places in the flood-hit state.
