Six dies in road mishap

Six person including two women and five years old crushed to death by a speeding truck in Kahanpur village, situated at Jalandhar-Pathankot highway road on Thursday early morning. Two seriously injured include a three years old were admitted into trauma ward of civil hospital where doctors said their condition is out of danger.

Five of deceased are yet to be identified police officials said, as only one deceased has been identified as Vinod Kumar of Sodal road, Jalandhar.



The truck driver was managed to flee from the spot, while proceedings of registration of case against driver have been started by the police.



The truck (PB-23-H-7297) was taken into possession by police and teams have been sent to nab accused driver.



The dead bodies have been sent to civil hospital for post-mortem examination.
