Six-year-old raped in Bathinda

The accused called the victim to his fields and raped her, the police said.

A six-year-old girl was raped at a village under Rama police station on Sunday evening.

On the complaint of the victim’s mother, police have registered a case under Section 376 of the IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act against Mandar Singh, a resident of same village.

The accused called the victim to his fields and raped her, the police said. The victim told her mother about the incident, who filed a complaint with the police.

The victim was medically examined at the Bathinda civil hospital on Monday. Station house officer Sanjeev Kumar said that accused is absconding. Hunt has been launched to arrest him.
