Stray dogs tear newborn girl apart
The beheaded body of a newborn girl was found at Peepal Chowk of Giaspura area on Sunday. Passers-by saw some stray dogs fighting with pieces of meat in their mouths. On approaching the dogs, they were shocked to see the dogs fighting over a newborn’s body. They informed the police, who reached the spot and sent the body to civil hospital for autopsy.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered against unidentified person at Focal Point police station.
Inspector Gurmeet Singh, station house officer (SHO), Focal Point police station, said it could be a child out of wedlock and therefore, its mother might have abandoned it due to social stigma, or the baby might have been abandoned as it was a girl. Later, the dogs found the body and attacked it for meat.
